\r\n\t\t\tVlatka Butorac Malnar is an Associate Professor at the International and European Private Law Department at the Faculty of Law, University of Rijeka. In addition to European Private Law, she teaches Competition Law at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She holds the LL.M. and Ph.D. degree from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. As a visiting fellow, she researched in a number of institutions, including the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, the Cornell Law School, NY, USA, the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, Hamburg, Germany, and the Asser College Europe, den Haag, the Netherlands. She writes intensely on competition law and is the co-author of the first textbook on competition law in Croatia. In 2019, the book Competition Law in Croatia, which she co-authored with two colleagues, was issued as a part of the Kluwer International Encyclopaedia for Competition Law.\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t

She obtained her master\u2019s degree from the Europa-Institut Universit\u00e4t des Saarlandes, Germany, and her doctoral degree at the scientific study programme Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakult\u00e4t Karl-Franzens Universit\u00e4t Graz, Austria. She authored the book in German language on consumer loan agreements cited in the opinion of AG Trstenjak in the CJEU case Pereni\u010dov\u00e1 et Pereni\u010d.
\nShe was awarded with the National Science Award granted by the Croatian Parliament in 2011, and the award of the University of Rijeka Foundation in 2012. In 2013, she was selected by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia as one of the twenty most successful research assistants fulfilling special criteria of scientific excellence. In 2020 she was awarded with the University of Rijeka Teaching Excellence Award and with the annual Award of the Republic of Croatia \u2018Ivan Filipovi\u0107\u2019 for outstanding scientific and professional efforts and results in educational work and profession. She is a member of the International Association of Consumer Law, Croatian Comparative Law Association and co-chair of the Croatian Hub of the European Law Institute.\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t

\r\n\t\t\tDanijela Vrbljanac is an Assistant Professor at the Chair of International and European Private Law, University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law. She was granted scholarships for research stays at the Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg, Europa-Institute of the University of Saarland (Germany) and the University of Milan - Bicocca (Italy). She conducted research on other renowned scientific institutions such as Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), European University Institute in Florence (Italy) and University of Aberdeen (Scotland). She has participated or is participating in several domestic scientific projects and several EU-funded projects, of which the currently active Justice Train to enforce - Train2 EN4CE (br. 854038-JUST-AG-2018\/JUST-JTRA-EJTR-AG-2018) and Diversity of Enforcement Titles in Cross-Border Debt Collection in the EU - EU_En4s (831628-JUST-AG-2018 \/ JUST-JCOO-AG-2018) are worth mentioning. \r\n\t\t\tAleksandra Marki\u0107 Boban graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb in English and German Language and Literature (MA), and holds a MScs in European Studies. Before joining the Hanns Seidel Foundation she worked for the ECMM and the EUAM as well as for the German Ambassy in Zagreb. In her capacity as the Head of Project Office in Zagreb she was responsible for initiating, organizing and evaluating more than 1,000 events dealing with politics, diplomacy, law and local self-government. Her main focus is on the European affairs, international affairs and development cooperation. \r\n\t\t\tVesna Tomljenovi\u0107 is the first Croatian Judge at the General Court of the European Union elected in 2013 and reappointed in 2019. She is the President of the Second Chamber at the General Court of the European Union. She is a Full Professor at the Department of International and European Private Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Rijeka as well as the Head of the Institute of European and Comparative Law at the same Faculty. She is the speaker and co-organiser of a number of international and domestic conferences, author of many papers and author or editor of several books.
\nShe is also one of the founders and the Director of the postgraduate specialist programme \u201cLaw of European Integrations\u201d at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka. During the negotiations for the Croatian accession to the EU, she was appointed the Head of the Negotiating Team Working Group for the Consumer Protection and Health. She is a long-term active member in the International Law Association and as of 2006 she has served as the President of the Croatian Comparative Law Association.\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t

He was previously Chair Professor of Commercial Law and Dean of the Law School at City University of Hong Kong. He is a former President of the International Association of Consumer Law. He previously held chairs at Sheffield, Lancaster and Manchester and has been head of law schools at Lancaster, Manchester and City University of Hong Kong. He has been a barrister at Gough Square Chambers, London (though not currently practising). His books include Comparative Product Liability, Consumer Product Safety, Consumer Protection Law, EC Consumer Law, Product Liability, European Fair Trading Law, Handbook of Research on International Consumer Law, The Tobacco Challenge and Rethinking EU Consumer Law. \r\n\t\t\tProf. Dr. Hannes R\u00f6sler, LL.M. (Harvard) is a Professor of Civil Law, Private International Law and Comparative Law at the University of Siegen (Germany) since 2014. Furthermore, he is the Director of the Institute of Media and Communications Law (IMKR) in Siegen. From 2004 to 2013, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. Prior to this, Hannes R\u00f6sler was a Research Assistant at the Institute for Comparative Law in Marburg and a law clerk in Frankfurt am Main. He received a doctorate (Dr. iur.) in 2003 for his book on European consumer law from Marburg University, where he had graduated in 1998, following one year of studies at the London School of Economics. In 2004 he received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He finished his post-doctoral thesis (Habilitation) on the European Court of Justice and European private law at the University of Hamburg in 2012. Hannes R\u00f6sler is a widely published author on German law, European law, comparative law as well as private international law and procedure in several languages. He has held interim professorships at the Universities of Freiburg, Bonn and Frankfurt an der Oder. Prethodno je djelovao kao docent (2015.\u20102017. godine) na \u0160koli prava Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Hong Kongu. Dr. sc. Mateja Durovic doktorirao je i stekao LL.M na Europskom sveu\u010dili\u0161nom institutu (EUI) u Italiji, LLM na Sveu\u010dili\u0161tu u Cambridge u Ujedinjenom kraljevstvu i LL.B na Sveu\u010dili\u0161tu u Beogradu u Srbiji. Dr. sc. Durovic je bio post-doktorand istra\u017eiva\u010d na EUI u Italiji (2014.-2015. godine), gostuju\u0107i znanstvenik na Stanford Law School, SAD (2011. godine), te na Max Planck Institutu za poredbeno i me\u0111unarodno privatno pravo u Hamburgu, Njema\u010dka (2010. godine). Dr. sc. Durovic je radio za pravnu slu\u017ebu Europske komisije, kao i savjetnik za Europsku komisiju, BEUC i Ujedinjene narode. Radovi dr. sc.
